As perhaps the most utilitarian part of the home, we may not put as much creative thought into the bathroom’s design as we do to other parts of the house. This is a shame, because the bathroom has just as much potential as a space for inventive interior design. Besides, it can be that one area of the home devoted to peace, solitude and relaxation; your own personal spa!

With this in mind, we’ve put together a list of some of Singapore’s most mind-blowing bathrooms.

Wine-d down

With hit the ground running with our first offering by Design Intervention. The bathroom, with its white walls and floors, is in some ways less conspicuous than the other rooms in this home packed with colour; the exception being the enchanting mural-like wallpaper and gold table to the side of the freestanding bathtub. The huge windows and predominantly white colour scheme ensure that the room feels spacious, and that it is filled with light, but the flamboyant features also add feeling of enchantment and whimsy.

Fit for a king

This modern palace of a bathroom all but overwhelms the senses with is beautiful parquet flooring, colourful artwork, bright white colour and chandelier. It’s modern in design, but thanks to the freestanding tub and chandelier it has a distinctly regal feel.

Who wood have thought?

Wooden paneling is the dominant feature of this strikingly original addition to our list, but the designers of this bewildering bathroom know that the sky is the limit when it comes to creative bathroom design; natural light pours through the partially exposed ceiling and reflects from the mirrors at either side of the room.

The sunken bath, and the effect of walking down a corridor to reach it, is reminiscent of the baths in an ancient Roman villa.

Veg out in the bath

This breath-taking bathroom brings the outdoors indoors by allowing vast amounts of natural light through the ceiling, and by surrounding the bathtub with vegetation.

Stone cold stunner

This monochrome masterpiece has a dark and moody feel to it thanks to the grey tiles and dark colour scheme, but undoubtedly it has flair with the contrasting geometric shapes that form the basin, and the dual mirrors hanging above it.

Bathroom in-spa-ation

At the Frankel Street residence by interior designers Eighty-two there are three amazing bathrooms! However, one is particularly eye-catching with its circular freestanding tub and wooden flooring; your own personal spa!
