The family run paint-producing company Pure & Original has been enhancing the colours, patterns, and textures of walls ever since it was established back in 2006. Located in Lelystad, The Netherlands, Pure & Original was founded by Erwin Floor who, along with his wife, built their own house after being inspired by the rural Belgian homes known for their bold and beautiful wall designs. This led to Erwin discovering a small factory in Belgium who could produce the desired type of paint for his home and many others. Today, Pure & Original is committed to producing any type of paint (in a wealth of colours) to ensure first-class results for any client, regardless of the project or budget.

Let’s take a look at Pure & Original’s seven new colours that surfaced this year inspired by autumn / winter 2019…

The seven colours for autumn and winter

Just in time for the chilly season are Pure & Original’s seven natural colours inspired by Mother Nature herself. Saying goodbye to cool blues and greens and embracing warmer browns and oranges, these seven colours can go a long way to making your home’s interiors seem much more cosy and inviting – what could be more perfect for winter?

Along with these new colours, imagine other winter-appropriate imagery to further toast up your interiors like cushy floor rugs, sofas adorned with warm blankets and cosy pillows, a crackling fire, comfy hand-knitted sweaters, cups of warm tea and cocoa… you get the picture.

Let’s see these seven colours on dashing display…

1. Plum

Deep and intense, this energetic colour is the warmer version of good old-fashioned purple. And watch how it comes to life when paired with that electrifying blue.

2. Bohemian Vintage

Dark grey, blue, purple, and a warm caramel tint look absolutely smashing alongside this broody-but-enticing hue. Imagine storm clouds approaching while you’re safely and cosily shacked up indoors under your favourite blanket in front of the fire!

3. Blue

This fresh sky blue might be synonymous with warm summer days, yet it fits this autumn / winter collection like a cosy winter glove. The link? This sky blue also conjures up imagery of icy landscapes and freezing temperatures, and it enjoys a clean, light and bright ambience.

Pair it with any of the other colours in this collection to see how it becomes even more striking and prominent.

4. Marsala

Passionate and comforting, this Marsala visually heats one up. And even more so when it’s splashed onto a wall in your living room (or bedroom, or kitchen… ) next to a roaring fire.

5. Dry Terra

Reminiscent of warm terracotta, this Dry Terra goes perfect with the whole ambience of falling autumn leaves, spiced lattes, and an earth that reinvents itself during the colder months of the year.

6. Ink Blue

Blue is back, but this time it flaunts a much richer (dare we say ‘broodier’) look that reminds us of cold winter nights. But this Ink Blue has the power to make any room seem much more elegant, especially when combined with lighter colours (in the form of furnishings and/or decorations) like soft grey or even terracotta.

7. Caramel

Somewhere between warm terracotta and snug pumpkin is this Caramel hue that, along with Dry Terra, reminds us of chilly (yet comfortable) autumn days. See how it becomes more prominent when mixed with that deep Plum and cosy Marsala.
