New project

Major Architekci is a dynamically developing polish architectural practice, established by Marcin Major in 2004.

The company's realisations are the result of a vast majority of factors included within the project, that in its final form is satisfying not only for its authors, but mainly the investors and potential users.

Their creative and individual approach based on years of experience was repeatedly appreciated in many architectural competitions as well as industry publications.

Marcin Major, the founder and head architect of Major Architekci, the main judge in competitions led by Polish Architects Association. professional of the year 2014 according to Forbes magazine.

Most important achievements: Competitions: -1st prize, Museum of Copper in Legnica, -1st prize, revitalisation of a historic High School together with an extension of a sport and leisure building, -1st prize, development of a public space in Wroclaw city centre - square and underground crossing near Świdnicka Street.

Initiatives: -The practice actively participates in several projects and initiatives associated with European Capital of Culture 2016 event, -Project of a European Capital of Culture headquarter - festival office "Impart" -"Przystanek Kultura" (“Culture stop”) project -Modernisation and refurbishment of a historic Oppenheim's townhouse - Plac Solny 4

Moreover, the team together with the circle of the best wroclaw architects is compiling the concept of a model housing estate - WuWA2, inspired by an exhibition from before over 80 years- Wohnung und Werkraum (WuWA) that was organized by the Silesian committee of the Deutsche Werkbund.

The practice is also sharing its knowledge and reflections regarding to the modern and historic architecture by leading exhibitions, lectures and workshops of various kind.
